Do I Have to Be a Member to Dance on Sunday Nights?

You do not have to be a member of Madison Scottish Country Dancers (MSCD)/Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) to come to a Sunday night class. The classes are free and open to all, although we do ask for a $3 or more donation per night. For details on becoming a member, see the sidebar.

Group Email

Our group email address is MadisonScottishCountryDancers@groups.io. All members and non-members are invited to join this list and to post messages related to Scottish Country Dancing. To join, contact Bethany at bethany.wolkoff@gmail.com. The address madisonscottishcountrydancers@gmail.com is only used by our Board for sending and receiving outside inquiries and official notices. It does not deliver messages to our group.

RSCDS Membership
Sign in at https://www.rscds.org/ with your email address and password to take full advantage of your RSCDS membership. To find your member number, look for the "My Account" link.

By paying one annual fee you become both a member of our local group and the international organization, the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS). Join online with PayPal/credit card (preferred) or by in-person or mail-in form with check (use Become a Member! button above). The 2025 membership deadline is October 13, 2024. Extended to October 20!
​
For your membership dues, you get your name included (if you desire) in our local membership list and group e-mail list; you get higher consideration for scholarship awards; you receive copies of cheat sheets, flyers and calendars; you get the opportunity to serve on our Board; you contribute to our teaching needs--music, books, equipment, etc.; and you get the warm feeling of having supported your local Scottish country dance organization. You also get to vote at the annual meeting! Use the "Become a Member" button to fill out our membership form.

As an RSCDS member, you receive the Scottish Country Dancer magazine and are entitled to attend St. Andrews workshops and obtain teacher training. You also are entitled to a 10% discount on RSCDS purchases. Your Branch/RSCDS membership helps support Scottish Country Dancing world-wide.
