Sunday Night Dancing with Instruction
Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 and per the recommendations of public health authorities, the Madison Scottish Country Dancers' regular Sunday night class is cancelled indefinitely. We will see what the conditions and recommendations are and reevaluate when it is appropriate to hold class. Hopefully we’ll be able to dance together again soon! Would you like to learn and practice? Check out the RSCDS Learn site.
MSCD meets for instruction and dancing with recorded music every Sunday evening, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. We meet at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St., Madison, 53703. There is no charge for the class, but a donation of $2 (or more) is appreciated for the room rental. Outdoor shoes are not allowed on the dance floor, so wear socks or bring soft-soled ballet-type indoor slippers.
First hour -- Beginner instruction with figures and step practice. Beginners should arrive at or before 7:00 p.m.
Second hour -- Intermediate & advanced instruction
Third hour -- Announcements and break, followed by request dancing
Social dance evenings have very limited instruction. Check our Events schedule to find the dates of upcoming social dances.
